Retriever Fund Raiser Successful!
We have now met our goal of raising funds to purchase two new automatic retrievers. The funds donated at the last club meeting managed to put us well over the top. We will be ordering the retrievers immediately and should have them in time for the start of the thermal contest season. A huge THANK YOU should go to all those that contributed and it should be noted that several members were VERY generous in their donations. It will now result in a much safer and more efficient way to pull back the winch lines and hopefully should go a long way to keeping our great safety record intact.
Also, at the last meeting, we conducted the drawing for the grand prize for the contributors (everyone who donated were given one ticket per dollar contributed towards the drawing.) Thanks to the incredible generosity of Horizon Hobbies, who donated a Parkzone Radian Pro to our cause, the winner of the prize was our very own “emeritus” member Don Peznecker. Congratulations, Don and . . . . .
