I-5 South to Exit 253, go east on highway 22 to exit 4 (Gaffin Road), go under the highway and take the first left (West) on Gaffin Rd which parallels highway 22, go through the stop (after you stop) and go to the far end of the sod farm that is on your left. Turn into the driveway marked Asphalt Ass. and there you are.
Sod farm, perfectly mowed grass for acres and acres. This site is used by the Salem Soaring Society, but PASS makes arrangements to host a few contests a year at this site. This is by far the best site for multitask, as there is enough room to safely separate the lauch/landing/parking/timing-gates/etc. No running water or restrooms, no shade, flat as a a pancake, visibility for miles. Perfect thermal country.
